Central Jakarta Economy and Development Assistant, Bakwan Ferizan Ginting said that the massive creation of new tourist destinations was conducted, as Jakarta would become a tourist area after the establishment of the new State Capital (IKN) in East Kalimantan.
"The challenge in the future is how to massively grow new tourist destinations in Central Jakarta. Tourists visit Jakarta not only once but many times," he expressed, Tuesday (9/6).

As a result, the development of new destinations in Central Jakarta is not the same as other areas that have natural tourism villages.
"We can develop and rebuild the area into new urban tourist spots," he explained
He hoped that Pokdarwis in Central Jakarta has a passion for creating new tourist destinations.
Central Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy (Parekraf) Sub-agency Head, Shinta Nindyawati explained Central Jakarta Mayor, Dhany Sukma, will confirm the Pokdarwis officers on September 13, 2022.
"Pokdarwis officers who will be inaugurated consist of several groups including edutourism, agrotourism, creative economy, cultural history, and the tourism industry," he explained.
After the inauguration, Pokdarwis would hold a comparative study to Yogyakarta and Central Java to see the development of new tourist destinations.
"We see the development of tourism in the two areas is quite fast thus it can be a reference for Pokdarwis," he stated.
